Sorry about the delay, everyone! I was barely home last week, so page nine took a little longer to finish than usual! I was also going to post some cool Halloween themed drawings, but I just didn’t have the time
At least .B00T page nine is a bit creepy, so it’s in the spirit of Halloween
We’re reaching our first milestone in .B00T next week. Page ten, baby! It will be on time next monday, and I’ll try to have it up as early as possible!
Page eight of .B00T! Our hero takes another step toward his journey to become whole, but what obstacles will stand in his way?
It was nice to do a page with no dialogue again. Word balloons take time to make, and sometimes a silent page speaks volumes more than one with dialogue.
As a whole, .B00T has been a personal challenge in three ways. Making believable and detailed environments, creating a sense of animation in my characters, and keeping a strict deadline for submission. I feel as though I’m accomplishing these goals, and I hope you’re having as much fun reading it as I am creating it!
Page nine will be up next Monday. In the meantime, expect some surprises during the week!
I wanted to fill everyone in on the new menu button on my home page. It links to a new post I just created that includes all of the .B00T comic pages so far in order. When you click on “.B00T Omnibus” it will take you to this post. Each week I will add the most recent page to the end of it, so it will always be updated.
Of course, I will also continue to post a stand alone page for each new .B00T page. This just makes it easier for newcomers to start from the beginning
Page eight is still on track for Monday!
So I mentioned last week that I changed a few things around on the site. Well, I’ve changed even more! I’m using a new theme that I think it much better than the old one! The comics fit perfectly on the page now, and it’s all sleek and fancy!
What do you think of the changes? Are they awesome, bad-nasty, or does it not really matter? As always I welcome all comments!
Now for your reading pleasure, .BOOT page five! I hope everyone’s enjoying reading it as much as I am drawing it! Expect the next one on time next week!
Also, I’m going to be bringing back my Robot Of The Day segment soon. I don’t have a set schedule for it yet, but rest assured you’ll be the first to know when I do. I have a big list of robots I want to draw, but does anyone have any suggestions of ones they’d like to see? Any and all comments are welcome!
For your consideration: page four of .BOOT!
This page took FOREVER. I went overboard with some of the details, but I’m happy with the results. I’m still working completely digitally, hence the computer font I’m using for the word balloons. I’m still not very comfortable with my own handwriting while using the tablet.
Expect page five to be right on time next Monday!
Well here is page three of .BOOT right on time! Have you ever heard the saying “if it isn’t one thing, it’s another?” This is how our hero feels. He just got used to his wheel, and now he needs an antenna. He just can’t get a break! (pun intended)
Tune it next week for page four!
As promised, here is page two of .BOOT. Looks like our hero is finding his footing.
I forgot to mention last week that both this page and the last were done entirely on the computer, from pencils to color. I’ve really been enjoying the experience of working this way, and am planning to post a tutorial on the process soon.
Page three will be up next Monday. Be there!
What you’re looking at is page one of my new web comic that I call .BOOT. It’s an episodic adventure, and I’m going to be posting a new page every Monday.
Don’t worry, I’ll still be working on Capek, but it won’t be finished by the end of September as planned. I’ve been working on it for so long that I feel it’s time to give it a short rest and work on something new!
I know it’s early, but what do you think of .BOOT so far? Any and all comments are welcome!
