Hey guys and gals!
You might have noticed that I’ve been strangely absent from the internet, sans my weekly Despondent Mega Man updates. I can list several reasons for this (Dragons Dogma, for one) but what matters is that I’m back with some news!
Firstly, an update on Rock Vs. Robo: I have the thumbnails (mostly) finished, but progress has slowed of late. I’ve been increasing production quality on Despondent Mega Man (more backgrounds, better word balloon placement, etc) so there has been little time for side projects. I’ll be posting regular updates on RvR’s progress once I’ve settled into a groove.
Now for the big news: I’m developing a Despondent Mega Man story arc! Each comic so far has been its own stand-alone gag, but this new story will run for several weeks, and sees our hero in some crazy new situations. I’m not sure yet when this arc will begin, but expect it for sure in the next few weeks!
What will this arc consist of, you ask? You’ll just have to wait and see!
As always, come back Tuesday for more despondency!
I always wondered why most video game heros only got 9 lives back in the day. Is it a reference to cats, or did the programmers not want to code in two digits?

Come back next week or a very special guest star in the next comic, and don’t forget to visit in between, as I have plenty of other cool stuff in the work!
A while back I mentioned that I had a special project in the works. Well, I’m ready to reveal it!
The tentative title is “Rock Vs. Robo.” It’s a twelve page comic where Mega Man and Robo (from Chrono Trigger) duke it out in a all out battle royale! “How and why are they fighting,” you ask? Well, my friends, you’ll have to just wait and see!
It’s going to be a black and white piece, where I will be experimenting with manga screen tones and such to make it more dynamic. Below is a picture of the notebook where I’ve been writing my thumbnails out, just to prove that this project is already underway:
Here is said notebook on top of my giant tablet.
I’m a HUGE Chrono Trigger fan, and I’m really excited to kick this project into high gear. So far the feedback I’ve received has been very positive, so I think you’ll all enjoy it!
Right now I don’t have an exact time frame for when “Rock Vs. Robo” will be finished and available (nor do I know what form it will take), but I will keep you all posted with updates on its progress!
Guys and gals!
I just wanted to let you all know that I’ve been working diligently on some new Despondent Mega Man comics for y’all! One is about half way inked, and TWO MORE are fully penciled!
I’ll have an update on when these will post early next week. For now, just know I’m working again!
Well, gang, the book is at the printers. By 2pm today I’ll be folding and binding until my hands get sore! Right now I’m only printing 20 of them for the convention, but eventually I’ll make more and sell them online. Pictured below is my sweet cover design!
Just to remind everyone, Granite Con is on the 10th (tomorrow) in Manchester, New Hampshire from 10 to 5. I’ll be there all day selling my books and stickers, so come on by and see me!
Bright man isn’t particularly um… intelligent, is he?

Okay, I admit this comic is more of an Ace Attorney comic than a Mega Man comic, but it was really fun to do so I don’t care! It was very challenging to take the Ace Attorney characters and draw them in my style. This comic took forever because of it, and also because of the backgrounds. I’m sure it was a very rewarding experience, but I’m too exhausted to think about it

This one took a LOT longer than expected! With all the textures and other effects I added in last minute, this whole page took almost TEN HOURS to finish!

Maverick number six: Launch Octopus! I had a really good time doing this one!

It’s not often we get to see Rock and X in the same place, but it’s always fun when they are!
